afeguarding Subic Bay: SBMA’s Role in Sustained Coastal Clean-Up Drives

According to my recollection, the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) has been a strong supporter of coastal clean-up campaigns since 2012. This shows that the SBMA has a long-term commitment to protecting the ecological health and natural beauty of its coastal areas. The SBMA's proactive approach to environmental stewardship is demonstrated by these initiatives, which acknowledge the vital significance of shielding marine ecosystems from pollution and deterioration.

In order to remove hazardous waste, including plastics and other debris, from shorelines and waterways, SBMA has regularly organised clean-up events that involve the community, stakeholders, and partner organisations. This promotes sustainable development in the area, protects marine biodiversity, and keeps the area appealing as a top tourist destination.

One of these significant coastal cleanups is depicted in the image below, demonstrating the spirit of cooperation and continued commitment of SBMA and its partners to creating a more resilient, healthier, and clean coastal environment. This enduring support demonstrates SBMA's leadership in environmental preservation and encourages others to join in preserving the Philippines' priceless coastal resources.
